With a prestigious Grade 1 race at its centrepiece, Betfair Ascot Chase Raceday is one of the most important Jumps fixtures on our calendar. This year, Ascot will stage a nine race card including the Betfair Hurdle Race (Handicap) and the Betfair Denman Steeple Chase from Newbury.
The atmosphere is one of excitement and anticipation, with spring creeping closer. As well as featuring some big prizes in its own right, the ever competitive card provides horses and connections with a chance to fine-tune their preparations for the Cheltenham Festival, which is fast approaching.
Racegoers have the opportunity to see established names, as well as some potential stars of the future. The Grade 1 Betfair Ascot Chase stands out as one of the season’s most prestigious races, with a roll of honour to match its reputation, including Kauto Star and recently retired crowd favourite Cue Card, in 2017.
Following the racing, King Edward VII Enclosure ticket holders are able to enjoy a Cheltenham Festival preview, getting unique insight from those in the know ahead of the Jumps season's showpiece.
Newbury Annual Members will be given free entry to the Queen Anne Enclosure on presentation of credentials.
